Repatriate With Purpose Through Music and Culture

As part of the Decade of Our Repatriation (D.O.O.R.) initiative, we are excited to announce that the ÌBÀ Music Festival – The TriniGhana Experience is now an official D.O.O.R. event. D.O.O.R. exists to provide members of the Black diaspora with “the strategic tools and professional networks needed to thrive in Ghana”, helping you “return with purpose” and reconnect to your heritage. This music festival embodies that mission by bridging cultures and celebrating our collective journey.
About the Festival
Scheduled for Saturday, April 25th at the ETS Studio on the University of Ghana campus, the festival is a collaborative effort between the Chantuelle Vibz Foundation of Trinidad and Tobago and the University of Ghana School of Performing Arts, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts (Ghana). The event honours our ancestors, celebrates divine feminine energy, and highlights the deep cultural ties between Ghana and the Caribbean.
Guests will enjoy a vibrant showcase of Calypso, Jazz, Highlife, Soca, Steelpan Music, Dance, Traditional Musicians, Spoken‑word, and more. Featured performers include Empress Ajé, Marcelli, Meloharm Jazz Band, Kojo Stitches, Queen Esther, Lucas Doe & Band, the UG School of Band, Bibini, the Kilboura Dance Ensemble, and Steel pan musicians from Trinidad & Tobago. Attendees can also explore a curated marketplace of food and craft vendors, all while engaging with fellow D.O.O.R. members and friends of Ghana.

Why Attend?
Participating in the ÌBÀ Music Festival isn’t just about entertainment—it’s an opportunity to connect with your roots and with others who share a commitment to the Black diaspora’s future. Through D.O.O.R., members gain access to housing and agro-investment initiatives, priority referrals, and programs that make repatriation purposeful and sustainable. The festival highlights this vision by merging artistry, heritage, and community building.
Join the Movement
We invite everyone—whether you’re a long-time D.O.O.R. member, a first‑time visitor to Ghana, or simply a lover of music and culture—to join us on April 25th. Together we will celebrate the rhythms of our past, present, and future, strengthening the bonds that span the Atlantic and opening the D.O.O.R. from Diaspora to Destiny.
For tickets and more information, visit our events page or contact the D.O.O.R. team. Let the music speak as we move closer to a decade of reconnection and repatriation!
