Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Kambon Promoted to Full Professor of African Linguistics

Decade of Our Repatriation proudly celebrates its founder and official spokesperson, Ɔbenfo (Ɔhyɛfo) Ọbádélé Bakari Kambon, on his promotion to Full Professor of African Linguistics at the University of Ghana’s Institute of African Studies, College of Humanities.

This promotion is both a distinguished academic achievement and an affirmation of the importance of Black-centered scholarship, Afrikan languages, cultural restoration, and institution-building. Ɔbenfo Ọbádélé Kambon’s work joins rigorous primary-source scholarship to practical community work, linking language, history, identity, repatriation, and the power of Afrikan people to define ourselves on our own terms.

His scholarship and public work continue through Decade of Our Repatriation, the Abibitumi ecosystem, RepatriateToGhana, his teaching and research at the University of Ghana, and the many conversations, publications, programmes, and institutions built to advance Black liberation and Afrikan self-determination.
