WHY D.O.O.R. EXISTS

Repatriation needs more than arrival.

The Decade of Our Repatriation is a ten-year organising framework running from its 2026 launch to its tenth anniversary in 2036—connecting repatriation, reintegration, enterprise and collective institution-building in Ghana.

THE VISION

A durable bridge between Ghana and the global African world.

D.O.O.R. coordinates public dialogue, practical pathways, cultural programmes, enterprise and trusted institutional relationships so repatriation can be sustained beyond a single trip, event or transaction.

A PRESIDENTIAL PRINCIPLE

“Repatriation is a right.”

President John Dramani Mahama’s formulation is historic and direct: the return of African people in the diaspora is a right, not a favour. D.O.O.R. supports that call and is building the dialogue, practical pathways, enterprise and institutions needed to make return sustainable.
